25 Feb Video: Editing a Landscape Photo in Capture One – Start to Finish

Source: Thomas Fitzgerald Photography

In this video I take you through my process of editing a landscape photo in Capture One, showing you the tools that I use and my thought process. The photo is one I took a while ago using my old Canon Eos 5 and it was a long exposure shot.

In the video, I use a variety of tools in Capture One, but the main adjustments are done with the colour editor, both basic and advanced, and I also use layers for some targeted vignetting.

I think this kind of real-world look at a single image from start to finish is a good way to learn about certain tools, rather than seeing them used in isolation. If you like this kind of tutorial, please let me know in the comments below and I’ll try and do more of them.

If you find this useful, I have a growing playlist of Capture One videos on YouTube. I also have some premium style packs available if you want to check those out. If you don’t already have Capture One, you can get it here (and I get a little commission if you buy through this link which helps keep this site going)
