15 Feb The Fujifilm X100F in South Africa

A bit of a side story before I kick in to this blog post. About a year ago I switched from an X-T1 with the XF 16-55 and some other primes from Fujifilm to Olympus´s mFT with the Olympus OM-D E-M1 and the M.Zuiko 12-40 2.8. At that time I had been using Fujifilm cameras for a bit more than five years. Actually I was always very pleased with the results but somehow I was in search for something new. GAS got me and I switched systems. At the end of the day I was not really that happy with mFT although I wrote a highly praising blog post on it. Yes mFT is a great system and I got some great shots.

After weeks of thinking what to do and looking at my archives, analyzing my exif data from the past 7 years I realized that the most used focal length and the best shots I had taken in that time had been with the focal length of 35mm or equivalent. On APS-C that was between 22mm and 25mm with will result in a field of view of a 35mm lens on a full frame camera….
