Once a year I venture into the heart of Tuscany to lead a group of photographers on a creative workshop stimulated by fine cuisine, company and wine. We reside in our exclusive luxury villa and venture out by day to abandoned farmhouses, local beauty spots and secluded locations that I have discovered over the years. I scheduled in a photoshoot in Volterra too. It’s a wonderful medieval hilltop town and just 20 minutes drive from our villa. Here are 85 photographs that I took of Terez Kocova over the three day workshop and a further two days of recces that preceded it. The shots below are definitely NSFW.

01. The picture top left is the exterior of our first abandoned location. It nestles in a valley at the end of an overgrown track about 500m from a rough gravel road.

All these shots were taken using my Fujifilm GFX50s camera with either the GF 32-64mm f/4 zoom lens or the GF 110mm f/2 prime lens. I used a tripod for everything except the shots taken in town.

02. The gold dress is a recent purchase although I’ve hired it from designer Molly Mishi May on several occasions before.

All the abandoned locations were lit with ambient light with occasional help from a dual colour Lupo Superpanel powered by V mount battery. Working with continuous light ensured that we could all shoot together as a group. Moving around to capture the scene from different angles.

03. I love the dual colour
