There are places in the world whose origins are intertwined with stories and legends with a golden thread. Prague, with its smoky atmosphere, the baroque churches that stand severe against the leaden sky and the old-looking buildings has always been a source of inspiration.

In Prague, popular folklore has forged evocative stories over the centuries, making the Czech capital a mysterious city to be discovered like a novel. Especially at sunset, when the fog settles on the Vltava and the night falls on the houses of the Bohemian kings.

For a photographer, this city represents a great challenge precisely because it has had illustrious masters in cinema, photography and literature. I think of Josef Koudelka or the immense and unreachable Josef Sudek. So communicating in images something that has not already been said becomes very difficult … Not to mention Kafka, which I recommend reading to anyone who calls himself a photographer because, with his novels, he has given us wonderful pages of metaphotography. In my own small way, after my eyes got used to the lights and shadows of this wonderful city, I tried to tell my impressions.
