21 Aug Pic(k) of the week 34: THE WORLDS TALLEST – Burj Khalifa, Dubai

I literary have hundreds of images of the Burj Khalifa, the worlds tallest building in Dubai. While it is often photographed as part of the complete Dubai skyline, with some pretty tall buildings close to it, isolating the top half can be very impactful. I’ve blogged a similar image before last year during the blue hour (check out: It is lonely at the top), but this one is a black and white photograph with some interesting cirrus clouds in the frame. It wasn’t part of a planned shoot, but rather from the side of the road during a two minute stop. Remember to bring take your camera with you for those unexpected captures!

With a height of 829m (2720ft), the Burj Khalifa which opened more than 10 years ago, dominates the Dubai skyline. The building houses the longest single running elevator, all the way to the 140th floor; the highest floor however is the 167th one!
