27 Mar Nikon D500 vs Fuji X-t2

Source: Fujifilm Insider

I’ve really wanted to compare these two bodies for awhile, and last week I finally got the chance. This is a first impressions and comparison of the Nikon d500, as it compares to what I’ve been shooting with for awhile, the Fuji x-t2. I stuck with just one lens on both cameras, which are as comparable as I could find. the Sigma 50mm 1.4 and the Fujifilm 56mm 1.2.

UPDATES:

Many have commented on how poor the Sigma 50mm is at AF-C compared to other Nikon lenses. I was concerned here with the two best 85mm equiv range portrait lenses I could find on the two bodies. But if AF-C is extremely important to you, more research than what I provided here is warranted.
