For the first time, olafphoto’s creative street photography workshop is coming to Toronto this summer!

I couldn’t be happier to announce this special event. There is so much to love about this remarkable city. It’s friendly and full of life, a metropolis with a wonderful mix of cultures, world-class architecture and cuisine and so much more – a perfect place to learn street photography. Our street photography workshop is an in-depth learning program I designed over the last few years.

Photographing in the city is so much more than the word “street” implies. While the majority of street photography deals with documenting what’s out there and in plain sight, we want to go beyond that. Our objective is to create imagery which not only challenges your senses but triggers emotional and visual reactions – whatever they may be. Yes, you are right! Sometimes such work is not easy to consume; sometimes it may even be confusing but one thing is for sure – it will give the viewer pause, triggering emotions and stimulating ideas.

On the three days of the workshop we will be discovering our inner seeing and challenging ourselves with different but bold photography. Yes, there will some discussions, presentations and technicalities. My objective in the 3-day workshops is not just to show you how to photograph on the street but teach you methods, provide you with tools and empower you to capture visuals in a unique way.
