10 Jan In the bag – Warren Millar’s Gig Gear
Fujiholics newest team member, Warren Millar tells us what he has in his bag when he goes shooting live music events.
Who am i?
I am Warren Millar, Fujiholics newest team member. I have already run some workshops for Fujiholics over the last year as well as regularly attending Fujiholics events and I am also looking forward to contributing to the Fujiholics blog. A little more on my photographer background can be found on my Fujiholics profile page.
What I do…
My main love is shooting live music which I currently do with my Fujifilm X series camera gear. I also shoot band/artist portraits, some of which are commissioned for album artwork.
My tools for the job…
I currently use Fujifilm’s X-Pro2 and X-T1 with the aim of upgrading the Fujifilm X-T1 to the newer and faster X-T2 at some point in the future. My lens choice for live music/portraits is Fujinon 50-140mm f2.8 R WR, 56mm f1.2 R, 18mm f2 R. Depending on the type of event I am covering, for example, a charity music event, I will usually include a Nissan i40 Flashgun which is handy if any P.R. companies request charity workers portrait shots etc. I often carry a light meter, I feel happier having this with me, but I am a bit strange like that!
