FUJIFILM Electronic Materials Co., Ltd. (President: Keiji Mihayashi; “FFEM”), a semiconductor materials business subsidiary of FUJIFILM Corporation (President: Kenji Sukeno), has received the “Excellent Performance Award” by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited (Chairman: Dr. Morris Chang; “TSMC”), the world’s largest dedicated semiconductor foundry. Following last year, this is the fourth time FFEM received the award from TSMC.
FFEM was highly appreciated for its contribution to TSMC’s production launch of next generation devices through development of CMP slurries* and cleaners for cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing process and establishing mass production systems** to ensure stable supply in Tainan, and for building close cooperative relationship such as reducing waste within manufacturing process. Continuous contribution of FFEM was recognized as it is the first time for FFEM to receive the award for two consecutive years.
TSMC awards the suppliers for their outstanding performance in the annual “Supply Chain Management Forum”. The forum was held on December 7, 2017 in the Taiwanese city of Hsinchu with the participants of over 600 suppliers under the theme of “Collaborate and Win Together”. The “Excellent Performance Award” is given to 12 suppliers that have made an outstanding contribution to the supply of advanced materials and manufacturing devices used in semiconductor manufacturing processes.
FFEM produces and provides a worldwide supply of advanced semiconductor materials including photoresists,*** image sensor materials,*4 developers, cleaners and CMP slurries used in the manufacturing process of semiconductors. With the imminent arrival of the age of the Internet of Things (IoT), the semiconductor market is
