23 Jan B&H Takes a First Look at the Fujifilm GFX 50S
In this video, Fuji’s Justin Stailey sits down with photographer David Flores for a one-on-one introduction to the brand new Fuji GFX 50S. As Fuji’s first medium format mirrorless camera, it presents an enormous leap in imaging quality and photographic artistry. At the heart of the GFX 50S is a 51.4MP sensor powered by the X-Processor Pro. Fuji is also introducing a new line of Fujinon GF lenses specially designed to cover the medium format and deliver exceptional optical quality. With a layout similar to the Fuji XT-2, Fuji shooters should feel at home with the new GFX 50S.
They compare the usability to that of the X-T2 but with a larger sensor. The camera boxes a 51.4mp Bayer sensor and not an X-Trans sensor like you will get in the X-Pro and X-T camera line-ups. It looks well-built, just like what you would get from Fujifilm, and it looks usable in many photographic environments, in studio or on location.
